Tom, The Bilstein shocks have made the S80 the car it should have been in the first place ! My wife, who is stereotypically not as much of a driving enthusiast as myself says that it makes the car handle as well as our BMW 3-series. Pushed hard I am certain that it will still under-steer, and being front-drive it likes to spin an inside wheel while accelerating in a corner – but I was reluctant to even explored that realm with the factory shocks. If the ride has degraded in any way, it is unnoticeable. The float is gone, as is the quiver during cornering. The car feels solid, planted, and much smaller than it did.
